Saturday, 10. April 2021 New in the OLC: Rookie rating - Make it big as a newbi translate news

Are you just getting into long distance gliding, are you proud of your first 200 k? Then you are a Rookie in the OLC and can compete with other newcomers to cross-country flights in your own rating – regardless of whether you are a junior or late-career.

With the Rookie class, the OLC has now created a new comparison option for everyone who is taking their first steps into sporty gliding. In the Rookie classification, as a beginner, you have an immediate chance of placing yourself at the front. Frustrating search for your own position at the end of the day's ranking behind all the experienced foxes is a thing of the past.

You are a Rookie if you have not yet registered a 300 k flight in the OLC; flights with companions (flight instructors or trainers) do not count here. The Rookie scoring itself takes place over three single-seat flights, which are rated according to the rules of the OLC plus. This gives you even more chances as a club pilot. And if it goes right you will be the Rookie Campion in 2021.
