Great day for honing my "skills". South Cup attempt. Pretty windy down south with up to 18kts in the BL. Lift mostly consistent with some 7kts. A thin band today. Cloud bases early only in the low 4,000s. Barely got above 5,000 a few times. Lot's of streets required some zigzaging to avoid long glides. At Beltzville I picked the wrong cloud and got too low to push on to the Pegasus/Cherry valley area. Started engine and sure enough connected quickly again and soared home. Close but no cigar.
