Flight 08/15/2019. When I looked outside about 9 am I assumed it was going to be a blue day. At 10:30 the sky exploded with CU everywhere. I decided to get my gear and head out to TSA. I was airborne at about 1 pm. I hooked a good thermal after tow release and got to 5,000 ft. At this point, I decided to fly east to Cleburne. From there I continued east going to Stephenville. I got within 10 miles short of Stephenville and decided to turn southwest to Hillsboro. From Hillsboro, I moved northwest to Ennis. I didn't make Ennis and decide to head on home. The flight was 3 hours. Max altitude was 6,700. Distance flown was 153 miles. My focus was to fly faster. I used negative flap setting and the result was my fastest speed around the course.
