Since Standard Class Nationals were cancelled, Noah and I adjusted our team training plans. Both of our clubs were gracious to let us use the club ships as originally intended. Since Friday/Saturday looked like nice ridge days, we are flying out of Ridge Soaring (quite apt!) We'll head up to Harris Hill next week.

Today was a great June ridge day. It took a while for the moisture to clear and we launched quite late (around noon). This is about as late as I ever launched on a NW day! We toured down the back ridges, where the cloudbases were drier and higher. We had a blast; pretty much in formation more or less for all six hours. I haven't ever flown such a long time and in such harmony with another glider on a ridge day. During the transitions, we practiced thermalling and all the team flying lexicon. We had a couple really beautiful streets and long runs, also with great practice. It was great to get back in the air and ease back into team flying with such low stress!

Thanks a million to Aero Club Albatross and Harris Hill Soaring Corp. for letting us take these ships and practice!
