Comment

First flight in my ASW-20B. Today was North flow. I took off on the runway. The wind was pretty much down the runway, which is a good thing for a 1st flight. I set the flaps to number 3 which is zero flaps to keep things simple. No need to go negative ailerons on my 1st flight. As expected marginal aileron control for the first 100 ft. The rudder is what you use which has an immediate effect as you accelerate down the runway. After releasing I practiced stalls, turns, and flap settings. I Left the landing gear down the entire flight. Upon entering the downwind at midfield I put flaps to position 4 and put the noise down to maintain 60 kts. Next, I pulled spoilers to 50% to maintain a steady descent. I landed in the grass. One hump down. Not sure how many humps I need but one hump is better than none so I got that going for me which is nice!
