All forecasts were very positive: an early start and a late end of the day, moderate climbs, and cloud streets. The early start was postponed due to rain above the airfield for about an hour, while everywhere else, the good weather started. A long flight in which I made so many mistakes... First part of the flight I found it difficult. Always low. From Venlo cloud base went higher, but not for long. In the Eifel, cloud base stayed pretty much the same, and the elevation of terrain went higher. Rounded Traben, and back we go with headwind and outspread to cross from Eschweiler to the North. Gaps were big in the outspreading but where there was a cloud, there was lift. And most of the times, pretty good lift. I think the day could have been extended until 20:00, as there were still working cumulus, but after getting low at 18:40 I decided to play it safe and go back to the field, where lift was not in reach. Overall a good day, but still so much to learn and improve. Dutch Mil and Langen Radar, thanks again for the excellent cooperation.
