Bob with me again - a well-tuned duo. At 300ft the red Pawnee was climbing so slowly I figured we would do better without it - and we did!
In company with Nick for the first leg, often low but thermals appeared at the usual watering holes - the Warbies and Rutherglen. Despite those it was slowish progress up along the Albury airspace looking at great Cu inside it. At Wagga we were turning down at times only metres clear of it and that way finally got to cloudbase.
There we turned west away from top cover to the north and for the remainder of the day had a fun romp listening to the young bloods from Benalla on adventurous tasks chatting about their progress not far from us.
Really great weather and a long day - we landed shortly after six leaving an hour or more of it for others and got tidied up to clap our splendid tuggie Wendy at her Birthday Party.
